My name is Angie Twydall, and I want to welcome you, Â however you found your way here, to this invitation.
If you're reading this, some part of you is already listening. Perhaps you've felt a quiet pull toward your womb space for a while now. A knowing that there's a deeper healing available to you, a wisdom that lives beneath the noise of everyday life, waiting to be remembered rather than learned.
I founded the Sanctuary of Sophia, alongside my husband Rod, as a sacred container for exactly this kind of remembrance. For over twenty years I've walked the healing path, as a therapist, yoga teacher, doula, and priestess, Â and every year I watch women arrive at Earthspirit carrying something heavy, and leave carrying something entirely different: themselves, restored.
This retreat is one of the most powerful containers we hold all year. Seven days and eight sacred gateways of the womb. I would be honoured to hold this space for you.

Who This Retreat Is For
This is a retreat for women who are ready, not necessarily ready with certainty, but ready to say yes to the calling.
You might recognise yourself here if you are:
- A woman standing at a threshold; in your health, your relationships, your creativity, or your sense of purpose and sensing that your womb holds part of the key
- A healer, therapist, doula, yoga teacher, or practitioner wanting to bring authentic, embodied womb wisdom into your professional work
- Someone who has done "the work" before therapy, personal development, spiritual practice but who feels there's a layer still waiting to be reached
- A woman drawn to ceremony, ritual, and the Old Ways, who wants to learn shamanic practices within a safe, held, and experienced container
- Ready to be part of a small, intimate circle of sisters, rather than a large anonymous retreat
This training is open to women at every stage of experience whether you are taking your very first steps on the womb healing path, or you are an established practitioner seeking accredited, professional depth. What matters most is the calling, not the CV.
Please note: because of the depth of this work, we ask that you have some existing support in place whether that's a therapist, a close friend, or family and that you feel able to take responsibility for your own emotions and triggers as they surface. This isn't a retreat to attend alone in crisis; it's a retreat to attend supported, so the group container can hold you.

What Makes This Retreat Unique
There are many women's retreats. There is only one Shamanic Way of the Womb® Medicine Wheel and this is where it lives.
A Sacred Setting, Not Just a Venue Earthspirit sits within the temenos of Avalon, the sacred enclosure surrounding Glastonbury, long regarded as the heart chakra of the world. Set in seven acres between two nature reserves, and just two minutes from an 1,800-year-old yew tree, this land has been chosen for a reason. You don't simply attend this retreat. You are held by the land itself.
A Pilgrimage Through the Eight Womb Gates This isn't a weekend workshop stitched together from borrowed practices. It's a full pilgrimage through the Eight Womb Gates of the Shamanic Way of the Womb® Medicine Wheel a structured, lineage-held path of initiation that moves you through grounding, release, remembrance, and rising, gate by gate, day by day.
Deep, Not Wide We keep our numbers deliberately small. This is intimate work, and intimate work needs a small circle, Â enough sisters to hold each other, never so many that anyone gets lost. You will be seen here.
Both a Healing Journey and a Professional Path Few retreats offer both. This is intensive feminine awakening work and an accredited professional facilitator's training, woven into one experience. You may come purely for your own healing and leave with a credential you didn't expect to want. Or you may come to train and find the training becomes the deepest healing of your life. Both are welcome. Both happen here, often at once.
A 132-Page Coursebook and Lifetime Tools You'll leave with a beautifully created course manual; practical exercises, journey scripts, workshop plans, and years of gathered wisdom, so the retreat continues to teach you long after you've driven home.
Held by Experience, Not Performance Angie has walked this path for over twenty years, trained in the Grail Mystery School, Celtic Priestess of Rhiannon and Dragon lineages, Reiki, shamanic and sexual/emotional healing traditions, and the Path of Love & Sacred Union. Her assistant teachers hold  the container alongside her. This isn't borrowed language dressed up for a retreat brochure, it's a living lineage.
